Trump’s economy has ruined the job market - everyone feels it.
All while his tariff policy raises prices, his war in Iran is costing us more at the pump, and him, his family, and billionaires get richer.
So much for a golden age.

Job losses like this have real consequences for American families, especially in Trump’s high cost economy. From their ability to put food on the table to their retirement accounts, working people need Trump and the GOP to stop the chaos and corruption.
“I guess”.
You’ve got to be kidding me. We have totally unserious, completely incompetent people taking us into mindless deadly war.
A story that is not being told enough about the Iran War is that the U.S. and Israel have totally different, incompatible goals. The U.S. says it’s targeting weapons systems. Israel wants regime change and a failed state. This conflict leads to total incoherence.
Why did Pam Bondi wait so long to release FBI files revealing that a young girl reported being sexually assaulted by Donald Trump?
I’ll be demanding answers when she appears under the Oversight Committee’s subpoena.
Republicans say we don’t have enough to feed hungry kids, but never hesitate to write a blank check for defense contractors.
Their priorities are way out of whack. Shameful.
The President started a war, sent thousands of our troops into harm’s way, left thousands of American citizens stranded in the Middle East, jacked up your gas bill, and still has not answered the most basic and urgent questions: what comes next? How does this end?
This should alarm every American.
American households are struggling to afford groceries, housing, health care, child care, and electricity.
And now the price of gas is increasing because of Trump’s war in Iran.
Trump has broken his promises, and working Americans are paying the price.

We don’t yet know the price tag of Trump’s war of choice with Iran.
Some estimates say it could cost $1 BILLION per day.
That’s money that could be lowering grocery prices, bringing down prescription drug costs, and helping families afford gas.
Promises made. Promises broken.
The Trump Administration said it was adding millions of jobs to our nation's workforce, but we lost 92,000 jobs last month alone. The U.S. has net lost 19,000 jobs since last May.
This week, I voted to end Trump’s unconstitutional war in Iran and connected with faith leaders and youth leaders in the #FightingFifth. Catch up on the rest of my week with #NikemasNotes!
Statement from CAPAC Chair Meng on the Passing of Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa:
Trump’s illegal war in the Middle East:
- 6 U.S. service members lives lost
- No plan to evacuate possibly more than 1 million Americans stranded overseas
- Costs still up at home and gas prices soaring
And still no endgame or strategy.
These staffing cuts are a betrayal to our nation’s veterans.
Instead of protecting and expanding veteran benefits, the Trump-Vance administration is making it harder for veterans to access their EARNED care. Shameful.
Incredible night in Rochester with Gwen Stevens and Ryan Parsons from the Chamber of Commerce. Great to see so many friends come out including Mayor Norton, City Council President Schubring, and Commissioner Senjem.
Pam Bondi has continued to block the full release of the Epstein files.
Republicans and Democrats both recognize that. And subpoenaing Bondi is the first step to accountability.
But a hearing is one thing — getting real answers is another.
No dumb wars.
No elite impunity.
These principles led to Rep. Thomas Massie & my work on the two most consequential matters of this Congress.
The Epstein Transparency Act & Iran WPR.
We are standing with the people against a corrupted government that has sold us out.
Trump’s trade war has delivered nothing but higher prices and a whirlwind of problems for small businesses like Wisconsin Knitwear in Milwaukee. I heard firsthand how they’re trying to navigate these challenges. Bottom line is: It’s time for Trump to stop this chaos.
JD Vance blatantly lied about being on a pro-peace ticket while saying Kamala Harris would start WWIII and war with Iran.
It was the most dishonest campaign in the history of modern politics.
Senator Duckworth holds Rev. Jesse Jackson’s hand during the Juneteenth March for Us parade in Chicago in 2021.
We shall not see the likes of the great Reverend Jesse Jackson again. He leaves us with a legacy our state will never forget.
Rest in my power, my friend.
I hope everyone had fun celebrating National Read Across America Week—the joy of reading, the power of imagination, and the lifelong opportunities that begin with a single book. Let’s inspire every child in the #FightingFifth and across the country to turn a page and dream big every day of the year.
Statement from New Dem Chair @repschneider.bsky.social on the abysmal February jobs report:
92,000 jobs lost in a single month is not just a statistic – it’s families worried about rent, groceries, & keeping the lights on.
Working people are paying the price for an administration that has spent more time making their lives more difficult and more expensive than strengthening our economy.
I voted yes on the War Powers Resolution which would have mandated Congressional authorization for any further conflict in Iran. Although the resolution failed, I support 2 other resolutions so Congress can have the necessary debate over any further military involvement in Iran.
I’m hosting an Immigration Forum TOMORROW at 10 am CT on the @loyolachicago.bsky.social campus. We'll be joined by legal advocates, immigration activists, and other local elected officials to talk about what we can do next if #ICE returns to our city.

92,000 less jobs & gas prices up $0.27 in just the last week.
Pres. Trump’s policies are holding Americans back, making you pay more, & squashing opportunity.
Americans don’t want to send their sons and daughters into harm’s way when there is no imminent threat to the United States. They want us focused on lowering costs here at home. Not more wars.
Ohio can't afford Trump's wars.
Trade wars. Wars in the Middle East.
It's adding up to higher prices in Cleveland.

The US economy lost 92,000 jobs in February.
Workers & small businesses are buckling under Trump’s tariffs, global instability, & economic chaos.
Every month, the cost of living climbs higher.
He promised to lower costs on day one—but life keeps getting harder. When will Americans catch a break?
We seem to have unlimited money to launch new wars of choice abroad, yet we can’t afford to feed hungry children here at home?
Our nation is spiritually broken.
