Mamdani's DOT Won't Commit to Building Legally Mandated Amount of Bus and Bike Lanes Transportation Commissioner Mike Flynn said he was "confident" he'd do better than the Adams-era DOT, but that's not saying much.

New York City law has required the DOT to build 150 miles of protected bus lanes and 250 miles of protected bike lanes over five years, a goal that has not been close to being met in previous years.
