Very interesting - seems that like ammonites, some belemnites may also have survived the end-Cretaceous mass extinction. ☄️☠️ Unlike ammonites which only persisted a few 100 thousand years they lasted a long time - into the Eocene at least! 🤯

直翅類の1センタンスの固有en名、grasshopper/locust（バッタ）、cricket（コオロギ上科）、katydid（キリギリス科）、weta（一部の大型無翅剣弁類）の他になんかあるのかな。
普通はkatydidなんだけど、剣弁亜目の直翅類は大抵○○cricket呼び。
キリギリス（ヤブキリ）もcricketに含むのかと思って焦った、bush cricketでキリギリスのことなのか katydidとしか言わんと思ってた
オットセイをfur sealっていうようなもんか
なんか直翅類そのものを「バッタ」と呼ぶのがちょいちょい見かけるけど十中八九「バッタ目」とかいうふざけた和名のせい。
未だに「直翅類」呼びの方が普通だと思う。
キリギリスのことバッタって言うほうが分類上は変だが…
自分のフォローした900以上の人の中で現時点2人だけ黒なのでそれほど世の末ではないが。
支部のフィードページ（https://www.pixiv.net/stacc/my）の存在知ってる人が少ないか、フォローしてる/してた人の中では「いいねがここでフォロワーに晒される」ことを知らなさそうな挙動がちょいちょい見かける。
健全絵しか描かない人がかなりセンシティブな絵にいいねしたりするものは「へえそういう嗜好なんだ」とにやけるけど、***-**画像にいいねしたりするのは流石にドン引きして即フォロー外した…。
小型の水生昆虫ほど魚の捕食から逃れやすい。
ミズスマシ科2種、ゲンゴロウ科3種、ガムシ科3種の成虫はナマズに食べられると、小型種ほど生きて吐き出される傾向にあった。操作実験から、小型種は脚を使ってナマズ口内で抵抗することで、吐き出されたと推定される。

The whole insect is a soft pale green with tiny scarlet lines on the wings and top of thorax and head. The ovipositor is large and flushed crimson. Front legs point forward and hind legs are bent, ready to spring into the air. The wings are held at an angle that allows you to see the abdominal segments below. This insect was illustrated for a wildlife reserve in coastal Devon, UK, where the bush crickets hang out in unimproved grassland overlooking the sea

I've seen these insects in the wild, but although large they're amazingly well camouflaged. I loved painting the the network of wing veins, and the sweep of the antennae. #insect #entomology

🦉ミミズク（虫）とミミズク（鳥）。
今更だけどjaは本当にchの「ACG」（アニメおよびその絵柄のコンテンツの総称）に対応する単語がないんだよな…。
「二次元コンテンツは美男美少女まみれ」という現象に対して個人的にそこまでの社会的懸念はないけど、リアル基準で美男美少女がデフォになったせいで作中のイケメン/美人設定がキャラデザで表現しにくくなる（きらきらエフェクトで強調する必要がある）現象は個人的にちょっと面白い。
