Kimi 😸 Comms Open!

I feel like I'm actually accomplishing more, following through on things more, etc. than ever before. It's not perfect, like I'm always gonna have issues with focus and time blindness, etc., but I can better accommodate myself now that I'm wasting energy on blunt-forcing things through my ND-ness 😤

I still haven't gotten the official Dx (in no small part to shitty US healthcare systems), but finally understanding these things about myself helped immensely in getting back to some level of functioning how I want to. I feel more aligned with how I'm meant to operate than ever, and less burnt out

A huge source of that depression was feeling like shit because I was guilting myself and guilted by others for basically not being neurotypical

I was mind-searingly depressed without any diagnosis or even awareness from at least junior high until a little over a decade ago, when I finally started to realize what was going on. Unfortunately, after my mental and physical health collapsed 🫠

I had absolutely no support for it, so I got very good at masking what I could, which more and more wasn't enough, and didn't even realize how much energy I was spending on masking until I started unpacking that and the trauma within the last several years especially

LRP: I felt like such a failure for most of my life because of procrastination, or not being able to follow through on things due to what I now understand as the inability to control focus and also a degree of demand avoidance lol. I love sorting and organizing but also struggle with clutter...

Undiagnosed ADHD is bad, but I think the most damaging part of it is spending an entire childhood feeling like a Bad Kid no matter how hard you try not to be.
You can't pay attention (you want to), you don't try hard enough (you want to), and you waste your time on useless stuff (you don't want to).

She didn't need to like, distance herself from him and the others as loved ones in the process. It was just another kind of self-isolation, smh

Thancred was deeply hurt when Kimi pushed him away while struggling with the official dissolution of the Scions. She wanted to figure out who she was without the organization and with their long-standing missions completed. He wished they could have figured things out together 😔

Kimi also can still be stubborn and feel a need to be independent in some ways that aren't really necessary? I wanna say in some way it's like or adjacent to demand avoidance lol

They try to be patient with each other about working on expressing their emotions and needs, but at times Kimi can be especially bad at hiding when things are rough, or losing her temper, still. Which can at times hurt or frustrate Thancred, or even make his own progress a little tougher

Like it's not a huge new set of features, but performance updates, multi layer tonal correction, and mass deleting empty or hidden layers is real nice lol

CSP already updated to Vers. 5.0... but it's only $20 to upgrade from my 4.0 license... may as well

This project got away from me. Was only supposed to be a sketch commission but here we are.
