There are some influencers who are suspiciously well PR’d. They give that vibe of musicians back in the 90s and 00s that tried to make out they were independent but were actually manufactured by labels.

I’m building for intentionality.

I’m not interested in virality, I’m interested in building communities of people that are interested in what I’m doing

So what does this mean: well for starts not relying on socials as being the primary hook.

I increasingly want stuff linked to my own websites, my own forums and newsletters. Building ideas and products not left at the whim of some tech bro, doing it ‘the old way’, because that’s more intentional.

Thing is most of these people have no business to be ‘up in’ they’re passive consumers, they bitch and moan to feel important in the moment, they’re too boring and too timid to ever risk putting themselves out there in any meaningful or impactful way.

It’s all too prevalent sadly.

They should be the best pianists in the world.

I have zero head space for malicious negativity. None.

If people are opening new clubs, building new apps, making safe spaces, doing anything that’s putting something back into their communities - you shut the fuck up and let them. If you don’t like it, don’t use it.

Yeh for sure. The optimist in me genuinely hopes that we’ll return to some working form of a rule of law where these things can be investigated and prosecuted.

I think we’ll just have to watch. Those “markets” have been suspiciously accurate on the movements of the us military so far. Hard to not just expect there to be insiders in trumps swamp making a fortune
