uuuh- silksong... tomorrow? i guess...?
happy international women's day
don't get me wrong, there's def issues in the fgc, but calling it "the most toxic community in gaming" when [gestures vaguely at "cod lobby" memes]... yeah
sorry xmkhunt420 TODed you. sorry rad_russy called you gay. but just cause they play fighying games doesn't mean they're part of the community.
it really worries me that these dumbasses who scream slurs at the smallest inconvenience yet don't interact with the actual fighting game community at all, are often used as example of "the community" being toxic, when in truth the fgc is BY FAR one of the most welcoming, least toxic ones in gaming.
every time someone calls the fgc "the most toxic in gaming" they're either talking about players in a low level lobby who installed the game 30 mins prior and raged at a loss, or they themselves are the player in a low level lobby who installed the game 30 mins prior and got salty at "the sweats"
i've spent the afternoon typing and looking at what my hands do on the keyboard instead of the screen, the movements they make to type each word and letter, and i can't help but think of naruto hand seals lmao
it's not that bad i just take some extra pills, and it came with free euphoria!
me when my immune system decided to attack my thyroid for no reason whatsoever (it's a genetic condition that is 10-15x more common in women, and almost every woman - and only the women - on my mother's side has it)
here's a neat little riddle: four people, two men and two women, walk into a computer science class. later on, two women come out. where are the men?
answer: what men? what are you talking about?
we need to invent a new gaming term for scifi, fantasy and such, cause "genre" definitely doesn't work. it's too general for "genre". it's like saying "my favourite dish is salty".
life do be like that sometimes, things going well and then BOOM three command grabs in a row

(i would really appreciate if bluesky would stop destroying the image quality thank you very much)
(correction, the first 100* videos)
(...) An internal api call that, as far as I can tell, does not appear to be available in the standard API (any youtube app developers do tell me if I'm wrong with that, in fact PLEASE tell me I'm wrong so I can make my own extension to remove them all at once without a rate-limit thank u :3 )
(...) rate limited every 100 to 200 operations (the number has shifted throughout the years in my experience).
That rate-limiting does not happen if the "remove watched" button removes over 200 videos at once (I have done it before, don't ask) which leads me to believe it is its own api call. (...)
(...) actually empty your Watch Later playlist fully you need to manually remove the videos one by one, or use a script. Or a third party extension, all of which use the same method: clicking the "remove video" button on each and every single video one by one - which causes you to get rate (...)
(...) despite the button only scanning for those first 50.
This means there's some other kind of API call going on in the background to "remove all watched Watch Later videos", rather than it removing the videos one by one. I believe this because you don't get a "remove all" button, and to (...)
(...) that has had *any amount of viewing*, whether that's a full 30 seconds meme in its entirety, or literally just opening a 3h essay to add it to the playlist then close it before even a single second of it plays.
And that removes videos from *the entire playlist*, not just the first 50, (...)
(...) those first 50 videos, the button will be in the kebab menu on the left (all this on desktop). However if you have watched videos past those first 50, but not any of those first 50, the button does not appear.
Weirdly however, pressing that button does remove any video in the playlist (...)
(...) That button only appears if you have any videos that you have watched in your Watch Later. But this check *appears* to be done client-side, as it only extends to the first 50 videos in the playlist, the only ones that load when you open the playlist.
If you've watched even 1 second of (...)
I am an extensive user of Youtube's "Watch Later" playlist so throughout the years I have observed some really quirky behavior with it, and I truly do believe that they haven't updated the back-end code for it in at least eight years lol
Like, the "remove watched videos" button for example (...)
Balatro tarots but it's Death Stranding? It's more likely than you think! #pixelart #balatro #deathstranding
(drew these a while ago, been meaning to make more)
both are terrible for the middle east, yeah. one would be terrible for the middle east. the other is actively terrible for the middle east

mitski posing next to a sign that says "IS IT HOT ? DOES IT LOOK GOOD ? ARE YOU PROUD TO SERVE IT ?"
- is the purpose of this, maybe giving the account more credibility before people click onto it and get served crypto scams? idk, that feels like the clickthrough rate would be minuscule if anything. or maybe it's actually not bots and it's just the ol' BaaderโMeinhof. idk, just observing.
Like yeah we used to do this quite a lot in the past as well, but these are like... so simple, and there's so many of them. Some uploaded within minutes of hour-long videos being published. It wouldn't be hard to accomplish either, just read the subtitles directly with the yt api. the real question-
I've seen a huge increase recently in youtube comments that are just generic stuff like "<quote directly from the video's most watched moment> is so genius!" and "omg <quote from the ending of the video> is perfect ๐คฃ" and I'm like... this feels bot-y, no? is it a new gen-z/a phenomenon or just bots?
Why would you ever use an AI, just ask me questions and I'll happily give you incorrect information and drink a bottle of water
