It’s hard to believe the Governor’s stated concerns are genuine when less than a year ago he vetoed a bill preventing municipal courts from sentencing people for crimes of poverty more harshly than state courts. This isn’t criminal justice reform. It’s acquiescence to Trump’s political interference.

Protecting civil rights of LGBTQ+ people is about standing up to the Trump Admin & standing up to those acquiescing when they violate state law in doing so. I’m concerned that local providers have stopped providing gender affirming care even while the Trump Administrations actions are enjoined.

We just got a HUGE win in the fight to hold ICE & the private detention industrial complex accountable. No one is above the law. We need to enforce the law boldly and courageously on behalf of ordinary people. That’s what I’ve been doing my entire career, & that’s what I’ll do as attorney general. ✊

This is really scary. It's also unlawful. As AG, I'd use every tool I have to fight for the basic rights of trans people not only in Colorado but in other states too. The drivers' license aspects of this bill in just the state next door create real risks for Colorado.

Incredibly proud of our massive win on behalf of tens of thousands of people detained by the GEO Group in Aurora, Colorado--a case I've been working on for more than a decade. Just claiming you're following the orders of the federal government doesn't put you above the law.

Big Tech is lobbying our governments to expand surveillance, capture public resources for compute, and consolidate power. How can we push back with policies that put people first?

Especially now, there's no justification for data centers that guzzle water we don't have and make life more expensive just so that we can have more robots to spy on us, jack up our prices, and deny us jobs & healthcare. We should pause all data center development in Colorado.

Colorado is experiencing historic lows in snow pack. Our reservoirs will be lower than they have been in decades. There is battle over water rights and even the idea that we should allow data centers to come and set up shop guzzling up the little water we have is simply wrong. NO DATA CENTERS.
