Honestly, if companies are sending you cool free miniatures & stuff - I'd say, at very least, you're winning.

I've been hobby gaming for more than 30 years & not once been gifted anything more than the starter painting model in a GW store. 🤷

And yes- there are obvious artefacts that need cleaning, it's celarly not 'perfect', but it's a few minutes of light editing compared to the reality of having to create it all from scratch.

An image of a 3d model - it was constructed by generative systems. ChatGPT to make an image, then Meshy to take the image and produce the 3d model

I have to say- not even being paid to the fact. Meshy: image to 3d is very impressive.

And I'm sad that my time learning and tinkering with Blender is washed away by 30 seconds of tech in motion.

It would have taken me days, maybe weeks trying to get to this...

I opened my code editor and- I think I just chose to make the digital version of CosmosDasher a rogue-lite rather than a roguelike.

Persistent buffs for successful runs to create a sense of progression and further enhance replayability.

This was a terrible idea, why didn't anyone stop me?
