That'd be wonderful, although i don't think it will fix that kerning issue. I THINK it is deliberately turned off because you COULD give two sibling nodes different font sizes etc, and then what would the kerning be? Safari even turns off kerning between two sibling text nodes.
The AD pings you on Slack and asks why kerning is broken ;)
(True story. I then went and wrote a splitter lib that wraps characters in spans and fixes kerning. It's a monster, has no documentation and i don't recommend anyone using it. github.com/MadeInHaus/a...)
