That sounds amazing
I would be miserable. Winter weather is so dry
Ugh, allergies suck.
With all the warm weather and rain, the humidity in the house is ~50%, even without running any humidifiers, after months of 15-25%.
For the first time in ages, I'm feeling almost normal: eyes not burning, lips less chapped, clear sinuses, mouth not achingly dry.

We could end homelessness and hunger tomorrow if we wanted to.
We could agree that everyone should be fed and housed.
We could admit that being disabled, poor, homeless or unemployed is not a moral failing.
That society would be better off if everyoneβs basic needs were met.
If you can make accommodations for autistic children then you can make them for autistic adults aswell.
I'm puzzled as to why this is so difficult.
Film hadn't been invented yet. We watched other cavemen reenacting Thogg's tragedies by the light of burning mammoth bones.
I was so disappointed in that film. I loved the book when I read it in college. Characters trapped by social norms into sparkling cages with no tenable escape.
Somehow it managed to distill out all the things I loved about the book, and made the cages the characters' flaws, not systemic injustice.
We need laws about data center water usage.
Because...we need water.

It surprised Yana, how quickly she got used to having a Tellari wander the ship. For such a massive creature, Xyd had a knack for staying out of her wayβa trait that had done much to endear him to her over the last few days. Even the residual awkwardness from the first day had faded; having quickly intuited her schedule, the alien had taken to sleeping during her work hours, and, after Yana had allowed him use of one of the bridgeβs vacant terminals, spent most of his waking hours working on what she assumed were documents, written in what she assumed was an alphabet.
I use "massive" a lot when referring to Xyd. A lot of these are placeholders until I find more situation-appropriate ways to convey his sheer size, but this specific placeholder is in a paragraph I quite enjoy.

Luckily Aubrei isn't in this scene, if she were her first question would be; "do they inflate their bits too and if so how do they have sex?"

Trans identity has been erased from federally collected data and barriers erected against trans people accessing HIV prevention and care in the US.
Gender affirming prevention and care and inclusive data collection for this population, with acute HIV need, is vital.
The core chapters have been drafted. Realized I needed some more fleshing out of the plot, so I'm working on expanding some chapters and inserting a few more.
Directors at Autism Shrieks have reportedly spent an emergency meeting trying to placate their board after assistance was erroneously provided to autistic adult, Miya Wilkes, 30.

The current president was once CEO of the worldβs largest weapons manufacturer. Their relentless takeovers of competitors, the buying stripping and selling, and the endless billion-dollar shareholder deals, all in the name of profit, gave him incredibly deep pockets. He was accustomed to having connections to the War Machine that had once kept America powerful and everyone else scared. So, when the former presidentβs peace accord came along and effectively stopped all that dead, he found himself adrift and bored. Politics and the yes-men and women who surrounded those in power must have appealed to him, So, he set out on his next pursuit. To buy his way into the White House.

@twitchyspoonie I really wish people understood how much power there is in claiming the word 'disabled' and letting go of the shame we're taught to have about our bodies and brains. Disabled isn't a negative word. It connects us to a community, culture & identity that is powerful."
