When I did my video comparing the x68000 and Genesis versions last year, I was WAY out of practice, got lost a few times, lol.
I can't even remember what my best times were but I was really fast at the overhead levels. Probably too old and decrepit to ever get the times I used to at this point.
Seconded!
You never know with these reboots. Night Court was an utter disaster that never should gone three episodes let alone three seasons.
Scrubs has been solid for the first three episodes while it gets back into the swing of things. Definitely has the spirit of the original.
This may be the first time I'm on Nintendo's side in over a decade.
What Zaslav and the Ellisons have created is an unmitigated disaster.
Here's hoping it falls apart. I'd love to see that happen, have WB and Zaslav go crawling back to Netflix and then Netflix offering half what they did before.
Very unlikely but ๐ค๐ป
Hey folks, been unintentionally away for a bit. Just busy, I'll make more of an effort to post regularly.
Here's Legend of Oasis on the Saturn... the criminally overlooked prequel to Beyond Oasis on the Genesis/MD. It's a much better and more complete game than Beyond and every action/adventure fan should absolutely play this one.
At the stroke of midnight (plus several unimportant minutes) my latest video crept online... a pretty extensive look at a prototype of Castlevania: Bloodlines! Check it out and spread the word!

...on a system they just spent $500 on even though it should have been about $350.
The 'thank you, sir, may I have another,' crowd.
Ah. Who can keep track of their rotating batch of executives lately, heh.
25-30 years ago this level of collapse at MS would have been inconceivable.
reiterating: i will translate the pce or genesis sorcerian for anyone who will hack it, that shit is my white whale
i have translated splatterworld, cosmic wars, and hebereke (all fc), and i will knock this shit right out of the park.
I remain convinced they want to run it into the ground and shut it down.
MS's failure in AI is legendary at this point... and they choose to bring the person in charge to their gaming division?
There's no way that's a coincidence.

A photo of our Mega Drive Mk I witj a pair of headphones connected to the headphone port plugged in, and a three button pad.
A vntage photograph of Hediki at a desk with a Japanese mega drive, pads, disk drive, and a CRT TV partly in shot. He's smiling as he looks at the sleek black wonder.
RIP Hideki Sato. Former Sega President (2001-2003) and father of Sega's consoles, including my favourite one, the Mega Drive, has passed at the age of 75.
The legacy he leaves behind is immense and cherished. ๐
I am aware, but have you played Sundered? It's a 'metroidvania' that blends rooms that are always set with randomized rooms between them.
I'm wondering if they're doing something like that.
That doesn't exclude the possibility of rogue-like or lite elements.
Do you have a link, because I heard from other people that they confirmed it but haven't seen them actually say it anywhere.
I know it has a 'daily challenge mode' which at least sounds pretty random.
I still want to play that, lol.
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse... I'm cautiously optimistic. It doesn't look like the play mechanics I wanted to see (or art style) but I'll give it a chance.
Of course, if it ends up being a rogue-like or lite, I won't be happy. I only thought Dead Cells was OK at best because of its randomness.
A picture of the box for the AYN Thor porrtable game system. This particular model is black and is the base unit with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Not pictured: I got it with the case and the silicone grip.
It is finally here!
A scene from the old Pac-Man cartoon where Pac-Man is about to eat a Power Pellet.
What I put on to watch while I work tonight:
So, did my taxes today. There was a lot of talk about big tax breaks this year.
My adjusted income was about 1k more than last year, same bracket. Witholdings were the same.
My refund was half of what I got last year. (I expected this).
Just a warning for anyone getting ready to file.
I am not excited about DQ7 Reimagined. This is the third go-round for one of the worst games in the series and it doesn't seem THAT different.
If they wanted to do a fancy remake of any of the DQs it should have been DQ5, but I have a feeling they're doing HD-2D remakes of 4-6.๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Nice work. It's always interesting how much better these things can sound by adding sampled percussion, which nearly every game should have used. You obviously did much more than that, it's a nice improvement on the original.
Photo of a black AYN Thor portable game system. It's a dual screen handheld capable of playing many thousands of games from old systems and a great way to play DS and 3DS games.
It approaches. Soon... soon...
EA's definitely got pixelated blood on their hands
Amazing that Microsoft spent all that money buying up all those companies in the last 8 or so years... and now they are losing money and blaming Xbox and their first-party games.
No game company in history has squandered and mismanaged more company purchases.
