I guess I’ll just have to think more about it and come up with a solution that works for me. Maybe I could buy a hotel. It would be cheap cheaper than an RV.
Really thinking that I should buy another truck camper, but that was not doing good things for my back getting in and out of the camper and lifting up the top.
I barely turned the TVs on at home anymore. Why would I want a TV in an RV? One had a projector screen so I could show movies on a big screen. No that would just be inviting people to come with me.
All I want is something I can drive around in and lay down and have a hot shower and store my bikes inside. I don’t need fancy marble countertops or platinum coated toilet seat covers or whatever. Every single one of the RVs they showed me had a fricking TV inside at one had a TV outside.
For example, a hotel that I used to regularly stay at as in like probably five or six times a year now charges $700 a night when I was staying there it was $100 a night and I thought I was getting ripped off. At $700 a night what I would expect for that price is not legal in the state of California.
The more sensible option is to probably just spend money on hotels. The hotels have gotten really expensive I mean insanely expensive. To the point that I would consider spending 100+ thousand dollars on an RV has a fiscally sound decision compared to what Marriott charges.
So of course, the salesman solution all of this was I should just buy something bigger. Which is a great solution for him, but is not a solution. I’m willing to consider. I think if I’m gonna do this, I’m gonna have to have a band custom built. And it probably will have to be a sprinter.
Dodge is a hard no because it’s front wheel drive and I would really prefer to have four-wheel-drive as well of course the famous Dodge reliability or lack there of. Although the pro Master vans have a pretty good reputation.
The Ford transit which I’ve also driven before strangely seems even less comfortable than before. The main issue is that the shelf that they have above the cab that was clearly not designed with the thought that anyone over 6 foot two, would ever step in the van.
