nyt website currently resembles one of those mock covers people made before 2016 election: economy floundering, war in the middle east, scandal-plagued cabinet sec, brazen corruption....

Here’s a curiosity! A month before Bizarro’s first appearance in Superboy no. 68 (Oct 1958), this house ad appeared in various Superman-related titles. This one is from Adventure Comics no. 252 (Sep 1958). Interesting that he has a B on his chest instead of a backwards S.

From a Certain Point ofΒ View The title of the blog post this week comes from the incredible Obi-Wan Kenobi after he is dropping the bombshell of Darth Vader being Luke's father in Return of the Jedi. That concept is what came to mind while reading The Bible Told Them So: How Southern Evangelicals Fought to Preserve White Supremacy by J. Russell Hawkins because of how this book approaches this time in history. I have never read anything from the intentional perspective of the oppressors in such an unpolished and disturbing way, and I mean that as a compliment.

How Southern Evangelicals Fought to Preserve White Supremacy. Something we know in a way we didn't.

It’s likely the artist behind that ECCC table paid at least

$450 for the table
$500-700 for lodging
$150 (+) for food/drink
$300+ for merch.

The financial risk is real! Be nice to the creators behind the table and even if you don’t got the $$ to spare, a kind word goes a long way.

Michael Nesmith was one of the great songwriters of all time, and I am certain he would be more recognised as such if he ever gave any of his songs titles that had anything to do with the lyrics.

I would love to sell out of my first print run before I start my next run of shows (and it helps pay for the second print run order I just made!) - there are just about 10 copies left.

I really loved making it and I think you'll feel inspired to make all sorts of things when you read it!

Self-hobbled and confined to a wheelchair, Luke Haines dug deep into middle England’s psychic hinterland to produce the definitive anti-Britpop album...

Many Happy Returns to The Auteurs' After Murder Park, which turns 30 today!
