have you seen Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri? it was a pretty heavy inspiration for Eddington I think, but imo it does it better. it's a much angrier movie though, as in it was written in anger pointed towards the injustices of the world (and the US)

A beige plastic camera with a rectangular rear surface to accomodate Polaroid peel-apart film. A truncated pyramid shape extends forwards, with a front panel at the end. A black-framed lens sits roughly in the centre of the panel; the surface, which is styled with translucent lenticular plastic, has a red nameplate on its bottom edge which reads "BIG SWINGER 3000"

Reminder that one of Polaroid's biggest hits was a camera called the "Big Swinger," designed to shoot *only* ISO 3000 film, with a built-in flashbulb holder and a metering system that lights up a big red YES when it's good to go.

aim for 7th gen intel or higher for decent plex/jellyfin transcode performance if not using dedicated gpu, thats when they started to support more codecs/10 bit colour (for h265? maybe av1 also. important to have)

DOCTOR: What these results show is that you've never experienced insight, reflection, or interiority in your entire life. You can have no deeper thoughts than recognizing whatever you are looking at in any moment, or survival instincts like hunger for food. You are like a lizard, or a frog.

which is to say that basically I feel exactly the same and find better humor that isn't "objectively" as good much funnier when it is not contained within the internet medium

i think maybe the internet medium (however you wish to define this) gets a little boring after a while. it's a lot of snappy oneliners with no meat in the surrounding context - it lacks like the dynamic nature of conversation, or the surrounding plot & setting of longer form works
