I am passing up the chance at being a linkedinfluencer
Interestingly, 7:30pm is more of a time than 7:00pm. If something is at 7pm it always is actually at 7:30pm. 7:00pm is just a time on the way to 7:30pm.
Hear me out.
3pm? One of the most classic times of all time.
5pm? Another classic time.
4pm? 4pm is waiting for 5pm, spiritually still 3pm. It’s the $7.99 is $5 of clocks.
My bro and I had a good time with a videogame at the Getty 🖼️ 🏰 🐴
You have no choice then but to try Macross 7 now on Disney+ (or less boycotted platforms)
A post from Amanda Litman on X showing that Wambaganss significantly outspent Rehmet
Incredible stuff
This what this list of raids looks like... And we’re still learning of more late. We’ll have to update this in the morning.

This is unbelievable
Just finished Legends of 16-Bit Game Development, an incredible book chronicling the early days at Treasure. I’ve read many game dev history books and memoirs, but this one sets the highest bar
A tweet I made on November 25, 2014: When Darren Wilson says he saw Mike Brown as "a demon," the problem isn't with his eyes, it's with what America told him demons look like.
You know, 11 years ago. Same shit
Hold Music is very annoying, but I am currently on hold with a corporation and the call has no music or sound whatsoever, and I think this is worse
I don’t ever want to hear anyone say “the raids aren't as bad.” this is the last 2 days.

Earlier this year my friend gifted us some tea after returning from a trip to the UK, and after googling the brand we discovered a peerless tea review site that must be seen to be believed

America has deindustrialized so much they can't even manufacture consent
Mice are probably good as hell at Kirby Air Rider’s Top Ride mode
Not sure why this new Nintendo console has a control scheme made for mice instead of a more common pet like dog or cat, but I suppose it is a start
I continue to be vindicated for not upgrading to a PS5
Scott Wills paints a background for the first run of Samurai Jack (2001–2004), created by Genndy Tartakovsky, Cartoon Network Studios
I wrote about the Netflix CicLAvia buyout and how the Branding of Everything™ during LA's megaevent era has now become our reality — but it's less about the unavoidable commercialism that's already seeped into our major events, and more about who sets the standards that align with our values
Natsu-mon on Switch was my favorite discovery of the year (though it came out several years ago)
To conclude: City Trial’s minigames are falling action rather than rising action. The journey is more fun than winning or losing. The density makes it so that exploration is not about poking at every corner, but about always finding something that pushes you in a new direction. A situationists game!
Exploration isn’t all. A whole RPG’s worth of stat building gets squeezed into five minutes! This is is like being a 13th century peasant being given a Dorito, so I’m glad the Road Trip was added to stretch that journey into a multi-hour version. That mode should have been more front and center, imo
City Trial is a hyper condensed space, so the novelty of finding places for the first time wears faster, but also makes all the variable elements more densely packed. Two matches of City will share a lot less in common than two matches of Fortnite! The various possible goals reward different paths—
It is definitely jarring to go from exploring an open space to a constrained 30 second minigame — no other game has that flavor. City Trial predates Battle Royales, but those are closest in turning exploration into session-based bursts. I find the exploration more meaningful in this than those tho,
As the Kirby Air Ride expert, maybe I can help. What are the expectations you are coming into it with?
Interesting argument for why the poverty line formula is out of date and how that has skewed economist analysis

"...as households' perceived probability of attaining homeownership falls, they systematically shift their behavior: they consume more relative to their wealth, reduce work effort, and take on riskier investments."
This new paper seems very pertinent
