Yes! For something that tries so hard to be sexy, it just never really comes off as anything beyond a 2010 Tumblr teenβs idea of sexy
Recently watched it and I have to agree with you boxd.it/dkk5jh
Totally agree. He has a sweet, genuinely likable quality that makes us instantly empathize with him.

I have way more experience with South Indian cinema, particularly Telugu, than I do with Hindi cinema, but here are a few I really liked, some recent and some older...
The Girlfriend
Kuberaa
Meiyazhagan
Aattam
Cinema Bandi
Kaantha
Aavesham
Pushpa: The Rise
96
Mandela
Super Deluxe
Pokiri
This is, admittedly, kind of a weird lineup.

Itβs so not my usual genre, but I love it (and him) so much haha
I think it might be time to rewatch a bunch of Ranveer Singh movies

I have basically zero interest in Wuthering Heights, but it has been thoroughly entertaining to read through some of the Letterboxd reviews

Completely agree
Me enjoying music in languages I donβt speak
As someone who watches a lot of Telugu movies, it drives me crazy how artificially smooth people are sometimes, especially the older stars. I want to see lines and texture. Give me faces with some character and expressions.
The Olympics are great because Iβm sitting here in sweatpants on the couch, munching on snacks while commenting on some of the worldβs greatest athletes
It was rough to get through when I saw it in the theater ngl. I love Prabhas but this was a mess from top to bottom, and the majority of the movie looked like it was a body double with his face pasted on top
TV screen with Hulu page for The Raja Saab
Do I dare to subject myself to The Raja Saab again just to try to find the deleted scene they put in the trailer but didnβt bother adding to the movie when it first played in theaters?

Slow movie-watching week, but I was glad I got a chance to see The Golden Spurtle after hearing so much about it from all my Australian friends.

The thing about Rose Byrne is, she's gonna be good in movies. youtu.be/qdkpcsuPAhA?...
As a former film theory student who watched many, many movies in class, this is so depressing.
Agree. January is usually a bit of a garbage month, but there have been some good ones this year.
January started out rough (The Rajasaab) but finished with a bang (Mel Brooks: The 99 Year Old Man). Here are 5 first-time watches I liked the most. boxd.it/RMz1W
