i was also thinking of having a big monster at the end of the catacombs dungeon to explain the appearance of these bushes, but there wasn't enough time to add that, so pippi became the boss of the dungeon instead.
originally, i wanted dead roots to rise up all over podunk rather than just the cemetery as part of the numerous paranormal events. ninten would have also had the bat from the start to destroy them. this felt too unnatural so we had them only appear in the cemetery
Here's an old piece of cut Encore content. At some point I wanted to add visible cloud shadows in the overworld. The rest of the team hated it so we ended up getting rid of it.
