Same. Only played a couple of hours of 4 as it came with my X360. Never played or even watched 5. I believe there's a 6th one now. Couldn't tell you a thing about it

35yrs ago today the world changed & would never be the same again
so it's a literal impossibility to get into 1st place in a 12 car race on the 1st lap but likewise, if you know how to drive the wrong way around at the start of certain courses, irl you would be much further behind than normal when you're going the correct way but in-game the cpu's will have slowed
I'm just playing on PS4. I've not seen any of the Jp players mention any issues. Do you hav any other info?
The CPU both cheats & doesn't at the same time. It's structured so that with proper driving you can always win but the cpu cars will be spread out across the course....
The top row was just as I was very young but they're probably still fun
Chocobo's experience. I'd wanted to try Torneko on SFC but no danger was I spending £70+ on a game & genre I knew nothing about when I was still at school. A few years later I could read more Jp & had money, so bought Chocobo
it is fun & worth playing though
it didn't do particularly well on location test & it's really easy. Arcades were wanting fighting games as they made way more money & putting it out on 32bit consoles which were over a year away from launch, when it was deemed a 'failed' game, wasn't really how Taito wanted to start a new era
I thought we were talking beat em ups? You need to plan your magic uses in advance with Sol Divide, making it a Tactical SRPG. Possibly a visual novel too due to all the text reading but def not a beat em up as there's not enough shooting
Neo Geo Freak & Weekly Famitsu got them too but they're less busty. Chang has a very round head though, which might count for something

And the modern game trailer is about as much of a beat em up as I am a gigantic talking skyscraper on the moon (fyi, I am not that), despite it's claim that it's a beat em up
RR1 (&2) don't have FFB. Rave Racer sort of did but it was turned off by default & barely worked correctly when it was on
So the port's accurate but could be improved if Hamster were able / willing to add in their own form of good FFB

I've uploaded a bunch of Rave Racer victories on various courses & modes today for anyone who wants some hot tunes & sub-par driving. If nothing else they at least show that you don't need ultimate driving skillz to place 1st on the harder courses
it is impossible to play KoF97 for more than 2mins without the game glitching, breaking or bugging out in some way, so this behaviour is in fact considered normal🤔

it might be but still, I've played it in mame before & never had any obvious wonkiness. Granted I was just playing with digital controls on a keyboard but I was still able to 1cc it & never found myself randomly flying into walls for no reason or w/e, so idk for sure

been playing Rave since 95 & have never seen or heard anything like this before. RR2 hugely locks you in when you drift. Rave hugely toned it down but added slipstreaming & less car bumping physics, so getting past AI cars is generally easier & in your favour

I loved Gaplus & Xevious growing up & then vol.2 let me properly learn Dragon Buster & Mappy too, as well as play Cutie Q for the 1st time

I've never seen the Egg stuff so idk exactly what sort of things they include but it would def be cool to see more of. I guess there's an aspect of having stuff for the devs / representatives to discuss on stream or just that the OG brands don't want everything to be in the public domain?
