ok checked about rsky-pds, yeah it seems to require s3 for storage, which afaik only app.wafrn.net uses s3 for storage, all other instance uses disk store

if you're asking "just use oauth2", nope it's not possible as oauth2 can randomly get revoked even without user input and its bad UX to have one big banner that says "Your Bluesky account got disconnected, reconnect it again" or smth

I don't think Tranquil will work in our cases because the scoped app passwords might break a lot of stuff (and on bsky account creation we dynamically add an app password to an account), also its too overkill for wafrn
