Its still somewhat inconsistent on 98 but most of the time they do follow the rule of "He and Vash aren't the exact same color" but in the newer series when they do that Vash looks like a piece of paper instead lmao

They've been whitewashing him for a while now and it pisses me off so bad lol (first imgs are like the 98 series vs the 2010 movie)
But its even worse cuz his model DOES has the meIanin, I assume atp it's a problem with the lighting/filters they use instead cuz otherwise I don't get it lol
