Was such a great talk, I think the simplicity of this line and the delivery of it were both just perfect.
Yeah hopefully I'll make it to web day out, but if not there then somewhere π
Sorry I had to run off before the #SotB26 after party. Fatigue is hitting me very hard today. My pacing app is blowing up.
Back in Shoreham now. Was great seeing everyone and meeting loads of new people.
Until next time folks x
Loved this talk.
I think I might have to borrow this, replace a space with a line break idea for our email minification. Outlook also doesn't like long lines of text.
Mike Hall on stage at State of the Browser with a slide in the back that says "Performance is accessibility"
! #Sotb26
Oh nice, I should be on that too. I'm in Shoreham now so getting the Victoria train then jumping over to that one somewhere around Burgess Hill / Haywards Heath.
Hope to see you on there.
Very much looking forward to #SotB2026 tomorrow, that came round fast!
Very much dreading the early start for the long trek up north to the big city.
Hope the trains wake up in time.
I was going to upload this video here too but it's over 100mb and I can't be bothered to compress it, so sharing the LinkedIn version.
Anyway, here is a quick and cheesy video on Google force-dark mode and how I try and work with it in email.

Amazing, be good to catch up. I'll definitely see you at State of the browser, and hopefully at web day out too (but not got my ticket yet).
Maybe more, it's a great list of events.
Great article.
Spoiler alert #EmailGeeks yes, you do still need it for your layout tables. But this is a good read to help understand how it it all works a bit better.
Over 40,000 have taken action to keep Palantir out of the NHS.

Because of AI, it's getting harder to be a public educator on the internet.
Devs are watching far fewer tutorials and buying fewer paid courses, making it financially tough for teachers.
If you like a creator's content and can spare some cash, find out how you can support them.
I made this "ad" for one of Cursor's recent features.
It finally solves the terrible problem of knowing CSS.
Love the idea, we just had our company summit in Lisbon over the first week of January. Much cheaper and less likely to have conflicting plans at this time of year. Was a lot of fun.
Only issue is, a lot more cold and flu at this time of year and quiet of few of us got ill off the back of it.
π¨ Issue 225 of "All About Email" is out now!
This week - Itβs BIMI time! π

π Live from the CSS WG F2F: We just agreed to support multiple borders and outlines per element, comma-separated!
But we canβt decide on the order: inside out or outside in?
What feels more natural to you, A or B?
(it needs to be the same across borders and outlines or different box-sizing values)
For me I see it as outside in.
If I'm reading left to right, I see white, black. Then look at the left side of the border I see white, black.
Not sure that logic holds when thinking about reading right to left or top to bottom. Code is always ltr so I think it does but I could be wrong.
To be clear, I'll be part of the live email optimisation session.
I'm not just talking about my eating habits.
A hamper on a wooden worktop full of Irish foods, containing; tea bags, fruit cake, lemon biscuits, oat and raisin cookies, jam, marmalade and chocolates.
Thanks for the afternoon tea #LitmusLive.
Will I be disciplined and save some of it for the conference on 11th-12th Feb, or will I eat it all before.
Time to place your bets folks.
Then register here to find out www.litmus.com/conference
My session is on the 11th, 14:50ET / 19.50GMT

Loving this new series. Very clearly laid out bite size information
A correct looking email with, the Samsung Mail logo at the top and the heading Samsung Email stacked below it. Then a wide image showing a range of phones. Then some lorum ipsum text.
An incorrect looking email. Everything has shrunk down so the text is now unreadable and the logo is no longer stacked on top of the text.
First image with auto-fit turned off (or with the fix applied) looks ok. Then the second image with auto-fit turned on, you can everything is zoomed out and the media query to stack the logo hasn't engaged.
#EmailGeeks
Samsung mail has this really annoying bug where, if a user turns on the auto-fit feature, Samsung tries to force an email to be responsive.
But more often than not, it actually stops the email being responsive π€¦
Well here's a way to fix that.

Done it, got my ticket π!
Nice, thanks
haha love that
If it were above I might call it an eyebrow, but it's below, does that make it lowbrow?
A large green CTA button with the text, Primary CTA. Just below that in small text the read Line of text under the CTA. It's clear that the 2 elements are related. Part of a paragraph can be seen above these and part of a heading can be seen below.
Question for my #designSystem friends, what do you call this kind of label directly below a link? Is there a name for it, or is it just a label/description?
