And that seems to be the real issue people had. People didn't like that the popular instances had rules about adding content flags for some things as a courtesy to other users.

Here you can barely get people to flag their own dick pics (and that wasn't even an option on launch)

It's too bad everyone had nuclear bad takes about it being too complicated (it's not, really) or that they don't like the fact that a single admin could ban you for no reason (like that's possible here) or instances having too many rules about being a respectable person to others.
