There is in fact not even a scientific study that says that women wouldn't be able to ride as long as men. The current distances are set by conservatism. Women are perfectly able to ride the same distances, they just ride a bit slower.

156 km is too short for a women's Sanremo.

It's the long distance that make Sanremo a real classic. Now it just looks like a sprint race with two hills at the end.

Give the women 190 km, so that the strongest classic riders can come to the front too.

The crash of leader Juan Ayuso had a big impact on himself and the race.

This year, he will combine the Giro & Tour de France for the first time.

Despite that roads were a lot worse and more narrow than in last week's Omloop, we didn't lose riders due to crashes today.
