CCC is trying to find new treatments for HPV-related cancers, including head and neck cancers. One clinical research trial is studying a cancer vaccine. The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre has been placed in the best-performing segment of a new national ranking system for NHS organisations in England. We also achieved the eighth best score nationally out of the 134 acute NHS providers that were assessed.
Clatterbridge patients are being asked to take part in a research study designed to improve the care and treatment of autistic people.

Prof Maughan, Chair of Oncology at the University of Liverpool, takes over from Prof Christian Ottensmeier in overseeing clinical trials and other studies.

A Clatterbridge patient has welcomed an NHS initiative to give more people with head and neck cancer a chance to join a pioneering clinical trial.
Sharon had CAR-T therapy, an innovative form of immunotherapy, to treat her acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. She says: “I’m so delighted this treatment is now available in Liverpool. The team at Clatterbridge are amazing.”
