Black & White Wednesday!
Black & White Wednesday!
I live very far from OK. Home is in Ontario, Canada. But I do spend a lot of time in OK.
Vibrant fall day with yellows, greens, oranges & reds. Reflecting off the calm water surface of a river. Small dock in the background
Beautiful day earlier this fall. Captured these amazing colours reflecting in the water. Fun day out with @shannbil.bsky.social
Waking, OK at the Twister museum.
Winds gusting 50mph+ (85km/h+) nr #Enumclaw #WA as air rushes through the Cascade gaps toward the intense low offshore!
Causing lots of downed trees & power outages β use extreme caution travelling & drive slow, you may not see downed trees/wires ahead of you!

Canadian π¨π¦ storm chaser buddies hanging out in the parking lot in North Platte, NE before catching tornadoes near McCook later that day (05-17-19) @braydonmoreso.bsky.social's #Predator. The D3 sneaking up behind us.
I do enjoy when we run into each other. Always a good time.
I honestly haven't done a specific video or article on it. Body is covered in nearly 400 lbs of Line-X bedliner, 3M security film on all the windows, skid plates for the suspension.
Since this is a new account & lots of new followers, I figured I would reintroduce the #BlueMoose. He's my best tool for chasing severe weather. Custom, armoured Toyota Tundra. Have seen close to 100 tornadoes with this truck. #teamtoyota
Map of tornadoes in Canada from 2017 to 2024
The Northern Tornadoes Project has arrived at BlueSky!
To see what we're all about, check out our website at uwo.ca/ntp. And make sure to interact with our map of Canada's tornadoes via the NTP Dashboard at uwo.ca/ntp/dashboard. Now up to 113 tornadoes for 2024 (5 in November!). #WXbluesky
Anybody's game at that point. Could go either way. Sucks that it unraveled so bad. Give Dave a hug for me.
A clip from the October 10 geomagnetic storm taken in Glenallen, Alaska. Definitelyone of the most colourful auroras Iβve ever seen! #aurora #auroraborealis #northernlights #videography
They were good till their QB got his finger chopped.

hello and welcome to all 19M of you! π₯³
I just joined this place AND we are hiring a climate scientist in my department at Penn: apply.interfolio.com/153721
Please share and apply! We start reviewing November 20, and we are open minded about what constitutes "climate science".
Was there. Also, I almost got hit by β‘οΈ on that road. Seems like you're a magnet for them
Happy to see so many new people and long time accounts moving over here! Love it! Here's a blue sky for @bsky.app ! π»π₯
And a little blue and gold for the leading team! π

Very large tornado in a grassy field in Kansas looming behind a farmstead with a dirt road on the far right.
That time I saw a big tornado near Dodge City, KS as it passed behind a homestead dwarfing it. Home was thankfully spared.
Canada:
Northern Ontario Friday night lights. Watching the nephews play in their football final in North Bay. Sunset was π₯
That time it got a little windy 130 km/h (81 MPH) on the eastern part of Lake Ontario. Dec. 11th at Point Petre. These are the equivalent of CAT 1 wind speeds. #BlueMoose holding his ground.
The Mound City, SD tornado was a fun little chase to round out a great summer chase season.

Stunner sunset tonight in southern Manitoba
I made a starter pack of storm chasers. Some of the names youβve heard, and some you may not. If you want beautiful #wx photography in your feed, this is for you. Repost please. go.bsky.app/KMshJUU

25 years of chasing storms;
supercells, tornadoes, hurricanes, hail, lightning, lake effect snow, floods, wildfire, haboobs, squall lines, blizzards, tropical storms, freezing rain, etc. It's been an amazing and humbling experience to sag the least - Stormgasm!

If we ever top the Wray, Colorado intercept I will count myself one of the luckiest people on earth. The roar was like a Learjet engine, and the preceding calm followed by the sudden 70mph RFD was the most thrilling thing I've ever stood in.
