Animation can be simplified by drawing the frames with simple shapes and then pixelating them. Or rig your character or interactable objects using low poly models. They can turn out very nice.

In the past months I've been producing techno like it was the early 2000s. The groovy, classic, percussion-heavy, lots of chords kind of techno. Basically the stuff we call 'hardgroove' today, but a bit less aggressive. And I just loved doing it. Hope to roll them out spread over the course of 2026.
It's a recurring phenomenon when people DJ synthwave they inevitably fall into mixing like 75% the same tracks every time (myself included). Simply because not enough tracks are being released that are both DJ-friendly AND dancefloor friendly.
There are quite a few tracks in synthwave that can be used in DJ sets (BPM changes aren't necessarily bad), but yes, most of them are written with either background listening in mind, or with a stage band instrumentation and arrangement.
That's a rock solid album dude! Huge kudos.
