Later this month new Government legislation comes into force clamping down on harm caused by dogs in the countryside.

The SSSI and Ancient Woodland is home to a range of rare wildflowers, birds, butterflies and other species.

After a series of dog incidents we’ve temporarily closed Hayley Wood (Cambs).

Despite clear signs, dogs off leads have disturbed birds, damaged rare wildflower habitat, staff were verbally abused when asking for leads.

Youth Rangers took on Lattersey Nature Reserve! They joined the mid-week work party to help remove damaged boardwalk. They enjoyed learning how to use new tools and got stuck in with the other volunteers pulling up wire and wooden planks, with a bit of splashing around in between! @wildlifebcn.org

We joined South Cambs MP Pippa Heylings yesterday to launch a new bill in parliament to protect chalk streams.
Wildlife Trusts national CEO Craig Bennett and local river groups gathered at Quy Water just north of Cambridge to call for chalk streams to be given UNESCO World Heritage status.
