Anyway, shout out to fellow adult children of parents who are stroke survivors who were ALREADY susceptible to cults and health disinfo because they're former hippies and who were gaslit by their partners at least once when their memory was still good, so now believe it's happening all the time 🤝

It's basically why her marriage fell apart and is now why she is being so incredibly toxic to my sister who just moved in with her, blaming sister for everything that's going wrong. The more we try to convince her that we are not lying, she simply does not remember, the less she trusts us. 🥲

Unrelated to ECCC but absolutely related to my hell trip- I do not know how to help a loved one with short term memory loss believe they are not being gaslit, 24/7. I can write things down for them, I can text them in the moment so they have a written record of the conversation, but it barely helps.

I am not promoting this *nearly enough* thanks to the crushing workload of actually MAKING the book, but!

Comic page: Giroflée is sitting at a coffee shop table next to the window with a coffee in hand. He sees Maël arriving. Maël sits at the table. The time passes and they leave when the coffee shop closes.

Comic page: Maël and Giroflée go to eat at a restaurant. We only see them sitting at a table, as if they were alone in the world. After the restaurant, they walk around the city. They finally arrive at Giroflée’s place. Giroflée says: "That’ll be me!" He adds, shyly: "Would you like to come in?"
