Shall we play a game?
Shall we play a game?
Morning
Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM

then on the other hand you have me, at the ripe old age of whatever-i-am-now, not remembering folk's names until I've been around them for a few weeks...
Small analogue clock face on a pale blue background with GE6SM/574 and BBC Engineering Design & Equipment Dept written above it
I've not added anything to the javascript TV clocks for a while, so here's something particularly silly β It's the logo silkscreen printed on the front of the "GNAT" hardware from the 90s, turned into a working clock zxnet.co.uk/clock/#templ...

See i found every time I fix a problem on my car it develops a new, more exciting one. So I stopped fixing the problems, and at least it doesn't develop any new ones! #lifehack π€£ π€£
BBC Two have suspended programming by the looks of things

I really want an excuse some day to build a nice hardware mimic/control panel with lots of bar LEDs, analogue meters and illuminated pushbuttons. Sadly such an excuse has yet to present itself.
not enough things have analogue meters these days.
Always good to start the day off with a few alarms.
bit of a spike in traffic to NMS Ceefax today, courtesy of @tomscott.com's mailing list:
all that's missing is a slow fade to black followed by static.
Super pleased to say the PFC livestream has just crossed 500 likes. Which works out to somewhere around 1.2 likes per day.

My latest subrack invention produces (HD)-SDI from a Raspberry Pi on one small card.
More things should be controlled via teletext datacast packets, I say...
I like this catelogue cover designed by @zxguesser.bsky.social...
(based on BBC supplylink catalogues of the 90s) π
Incidentally - the entire NMS Ceefax recreation has been going for over 10 years now. Yeah. Seriously.
The Pages from Ceefax live stream has now been running for a full year - as of about 5pm (GMT).

I gave up on relying on external sources for TV schedules that feed Ceefax - they keep falling over/stopping updating/etc... They now come from off-air reception of Freeview, and soon to be updated to come from Freesat...
My latest video is looking inside a 32Β² matrix from Pro-Bel.
I promise I'm not only going to be looking at routers! Just so happens to be what I've been working on this week.

I refuse to calculate how much mine costs, and frankly I shudder to even think.
A photo of a CRT television showing a Teletext page with the Bamboozle! quiz page.
You asked for it many times, it's finally here.
You can now switch TV channels between BBC1 and Channel 4, the latter of which will now let you play Bamboozle!
Long shot, but would anyone happen to have the control/config software for a Probel Halo 32x32 SDI matrix around somewhere? Can't seem to find it online anywhere.

Iβm sure I speak for all television presentation website owners when I say this: we run our sites in our spare time. We do it because we care, not because itβs our job. We add the material we actually have, when we have time to do it.
Please donβt tell us how to run our websites.
Moment of appreciation for the lady who wrapped my eBay parcel. What a perfect job
