I can vouch that AT proto is incredibly easy and enjoyable to develop on.
If you’re on the fence about developing your app or agent, go for it. Especially with the new atproto.com website that makes it even easier.

Next, the posting stats of the typical user after 1 year:

In average: 29 followers, 33 posts
But median is 2 followers, 0 posts

Why the gap? a few users drive the average:
👀 76.9% NEVER posted (lurkers!)
🌟 22 super posters (10K+ posts)

Only 15.6% have complete profile

And finally some fun facts from the #bluesky users that registered exactly 1 year ago:

Together they:
- Posted 1.7M posts
- Gained 1.5M followers
- Are following 1.6M users
- 672 users got custom domains (Top: .com 213, .gy 77, .org 35)

Secondly, the engagement type of #bluesky user that registered exactly 1 year ago:

- 61.3 % (32,176) are balanced (similar followers/following)
- 0.6% (308) are influencers (10x followers and more than 5k)
- 19.7% (10,321) are consumers
- 2.9% (1,539) follow nobody
- 15.6% (8,175) have no followers

I started monitoring and logging the new #bluesky users on 18th Feb 2025

To mark bskycheck.com anniversary, I decided to do a "what happen to them" look back on the 62,933 users that registered on 18 Feb 2025, exactly 1 year ago.

First, are they still around?
- SURVIVAL RATE: 52,519 (83.5%)
- Deleted: 2,727 (4.3%)
- Suspended: 7,152 (11.4%)
- Deactivated: 523 (0.8%)

Added back the stats for the domain to bskycheck.com, as well as a few new ones related to PDS.

Added tool-tip details of the streamers in the live now users list.
It displays a preview of their stream (working with twitch and youtube only at the moment).

Try again it should be fixed. You might need to clear the cache of your browser.

I did a few changes on my script that counts new users.

Bskycheck was over estimating the number of new user vs bsky.jazco.dev/stats by around 5% (it got worse recently not sure why).
Did a few adaptations to get closer, over-estimation is now around 1-2%.

no it is in closed testing phase. I need to send invite to testers. DM me if interested.

And finally, I did a little of de-cluttering the stats page by grouping some statistics...
and because there is never enough took the opportunity to add a few more stats 😜
