Today would’ve been my grandmother’s 90th birthday. 💐💚

The world has never spun the same for me since she left us, but now I walk forward in her honor. I can only hope that maybe somewhere in the great beyond she’s there, smiling down on me proudly. I like that thought a lot.

Despite the downs, the perfect breeze of winter’s slow end today reminds me of future days I still walk happily towards, with only love in my heart. 🌸

Dear whomever finds this, For awhile now, it’s likely been obvious that I’ve been silently struggling; drowning under the weight of uncertainty and perhaps almost a peculiar sense of powerlessness. Am I doing a good job of stewarding community? Sometimes I feel like I have no way to know. Havensong Forest continues to grow, and I’m truly grateful for all who take a chance on me and this place, yet I’ve been feeling a strange, creeping ache to know that so many people from my earlier days have since grown quiet, or perhaps moved on entirely. I suppose that I might not be used to the transient nature of it all, and I’m definitely not someone who handles change with grace. Could this be nostalgia…? I fear that I am not exactly sure how to navigate it all. What I do know is that I am truly sorry if I have ever done anything to drive anyone away from this place. I will always wish for your happiness. I wonder if I should’ve hardened my heart a bit more before starting on this journey.

Today was a big repotting day for my giant golden pothos. The vines are taller than me! My poor child was so root bound, I had no idea… I tried my best to loosen the roots as gently as I could 🥺
