@evolutionise.bsky.social @duckalini.bsky.social new sana's mom story
i didn't have to have a conversation about heated rivalry at least. she went to the pyeongchang winter olympics to watch the men's figure skating (my Sana's Mom Gift that year was the olympic mascot stuffed animal), so this was a genuine concern
she also said that we (me, her, my gf) should go to sydney for the BTS tour next year. i said i'd consider melbourne.
popping back in here to say that i called my mom last night. the hospital called me to try and schedule minor surgery for her mid-may, to which her response was "wait, i have tickets booked for a boy band concert at Tokyo Dome 5 days after, can i still go?"
okay i shouldβve kept my original wording of βcomplaints of varying levels of validityβ
you know theyβre still british citizens bc they gave them a valid thing to really complain about and good lord that article is long. bonus points for βbureaucracy gone madβ
it only opened like a month ago so itβs the first time anythingβs even been available here. iβll have to keep an eye out.
ooof that was big #asteroidnz

the last time i was in an IKEA was in Sydney a decade ago, where i saw the most amazing/terrible rug. nothing of this calibre this time unfortunately
an articulated wooden mannequin hand. the index and middle finger have been zip tied together in order to prevent people from making it give people the finger.
yeah so it turns out everyone else had this idea at IKEA too
6 arms!
ok upgrading that up to 8 arms
they've started one of those insane rhythm game showcases on AGDQ. we're only 5 minutes into a 1h15m run and I'm already pretty sure you need at least three hands for this game
Ringu (1998). And then I went to sleep in my bedroom, which had a big CRT TV directly opposite the bed π¬
if you want to feel old: AGDQ is currently running Mario Kart 64, which was released 29 years ago
honestly, just fantastic couch commentary from CrimsonCasts for that Path of Exile run in general - 3 hours straight of extremely informative, easy to follow, and entertaining talk from one guy
photograph of a yamaimo or Dioscorea japonica, or Japanese mountain yam
ok but tbf that yam is a japanese yamaimo not a sweet potato so itβs more a translation issue
AGDQ couch guy doing a good job explaining the pronunciation of the βngaβ phoneme for an american
Iβve been mopping up shit like this for longer than most of you have been alive and I cannot recommend this thread enough. Itβs a masterclass.
MYTH: Going through menopause is a miserable experience. FACT: Many women actually enjoy the opportunity to try a bunch of new drugs.

Rough vibes on this website today, likely because people feel Hopeless and Helpless Because Can't Stop It and No One Who Is Supposed To Is Trying To So Now We're Fighting Each Otherβ’. I recommend activities such as book, or potentially instrument if you like instrument, or even do talk on phone.
oh right yeah, murdering the audience is generally frowned upon
iβve been thinking this would make a great double feature with Panβs Labyrinth

TBF it's about how all painting can ultimately be reduced down to paint on a material, so all of the paintings are different kinds of paint on different kinds of material. BUT STILL there were like 40 of these painted white squares in various sizes all named "untitled" and we looked them all
