Like I said up top - what is interesting to me about this clip isn’t what he’s saying but how what he’s saying indicates that he has spent a lot of time working with these tools, seeing their capabilities, impinging their impact, and discussing all this with industry peers who are doing the same.

That makes sense that everyone is testing these things. I think the “complete” job replacement stuff was always just hype
I do really miss watching smart people being unguarded and having interesting conversations on it.
I have so many complicated thoughts about this stuff. Short-form posting really has caused significant complicated and understandable impacts. Sadly it's also not the place to talk about them, or basically anything that involves discourse.

One thing that I think is going to happen in the next several months is: it's going to become very clear that huge numbers of artists operating at the highest levels of their craft have been experimenting with these tools for quite some time now and just haven't been talking about it publicly.
To me, the interesting thing about this clip isn't what Affleck says, it's how informed he is. It's super clear that he's been playing with, thinking about, and crucially, discussing LLM tools for some time now... with everyone around him who is also doing the same

It was obviously immediately fun, but I did worry that it might distract people away from all of the things that are fun about the core game of Ribbit. Ultimately, I decided that it would probably be OK as long as I kept it a secret — and ribbit is up as an experimental game anyhow.
It is possible every game, though you’d have to do a lot of work. I can do it like 80% of the time if I’m trying lightly.
I was trying to imagine an analog for fantasy land that would work in Ribbit and I just thought what if I did this wild thing, why not?
