As someone who has spent the last 18 months at my job trying to cut every dollar of cost from our products and realizing how hard it is, congrats to Apple today on launching an incredible low cost MacBook Neo.

Tfw apparently there’s 8 episodes of the new @grubb.wtf snacks, and you’ve only seen like one so you have some content to watch.
I think what I would have changed, would have been to just have tapping the search bar invoke the keyboard and allow the user to start typing. No need for the hassle of the second tap.
I cheated and added a floating button on my Bluesky client, for new posts. And I like it there but it feels like such a hack.
I really liked the search bar as implemented pre 26.4, I’m surprised they’re going back here tbh.

Having worked on iOS apps since 2009, getting a feature image on the @iconfactory.com blog is a very very fun personal highlight. So cool that my app can work with an app I kickstarted a few years back, that’s built by some of the best in the business.

But one note that maybe someone can explain to me. It seems like during onboarding, people follow my personal account at a rate of like ~8 to 1 over the official @getskyscraper.com account.
Does the official account feel too corporate?
Speaking of following during onboarding, sure, some of you may think it’s cheesy and an easy personal boost.
But you go ahead and make your own Bluesky app and you can add whatever accounts you want to follow during onboarding.
(Typically, followers come after a surge of downloads since you can follow me in the onboarding of Skyscraper)
But metrics aren’t crazy and don’t see a big spike yet.
