The thing that stymied me in past attempts was the number of hidden Docs and Sheets files. Half an hour of vibe-coding an App Script solved that issue.
Assuming, of course, that we still have a postal service.
I think people who are writing code have a fundamentally different experience of AI. I definitely don't need the world to have the ability to make AI slop videos, music, etc., but being able to whip up bespoke, low-risk personal productivity software is like when VisiCalc came out, I imagine.
First year in a _really_ long time that ALL my holiday shopping was in-person and local. Next year, maybe I can even do it early enough to mail stuff to out-of-town family in time for Christmas arrival!
A public database of ice, ice agents, DHS, etc. Has now been built and it's entirely outside of the US and US government reach.
And apparently not an octogenarian.
My Xmas gift to myself this year is finally moving my personal accounts from Google to Proton. It's going to be awesome. Happy holidays!
Discord for remote teams is awesome. Weekend vibe coding the integrations we're used to having in Slack + a couple of choice 3rd party ones and we are in business! Actually so much better than Slack, I can't believe we didn't switch sooner!
Sort of the whole point of having a (smal s) state, really.
The problem with this piece, like all the other pieces, is that the missing hed, dek, & lede is that all of this was wildly illegal, unconstitutional, & criminal. This is how you normalize lawless authoritarianism - treat like just another story in our politics. “Transformation” is lazy euphemism.
A re-creation of the first crossword puzzle, created by Arthur Wynne, published in the New York World on December 21, 1913. Differences between the image and the original crossword puzzle, according the Sanasepot, are different font and spelling fixes in labels 4–5 and 9–25.

something. The problem is that being good at one thing doesn't mean you're good at most things, or even many things, and even if you are, like, super smart, you're just an instance of human. It's not like the distance between a jellyfish and a dolphin.
Funny, my kid asked me today what is a paradox. "The only people who suffer the full consequences of being wrong are poor people. Everyone else outsources consequences to society; AND ALSO, I a rich-as- fuck person, suffer the full consequences of my risks." Dude is probably good at

Mainly, I can't feign interest. Often, I can find something actually interesting in what someone is saying, but in that case, I've learned it's unadvisable to respond or ask questions, becuse apparently that's scary and argumentative.
Oh snap. He's running for Nydia's seat. More power to him!
Oops - teaching grandma to suck eggs. But why is he bringing LLMs into it...?
I appreciate this thread. I would guess this is why seniors and eng managers from big corps have a hard time at startups.
