I’m so glad we did this at home, we had such a kind and compassionate vet who kept Violet so calm and comfortable throughout. Even the crematorium worker was so gentle and sympathetic, we were able to carry her out ourselves and it really helped with the closure.

Violet hated other cats and when she saw them, her tail would get all big and puffy.

The moment she died, her tail did exactly that - so we are taking that as proof that there is a cat heaven and Violet is there and she’s fucking pissed lol.

We said goodbye to Miss Violet tonight. When we adopted her a few years ago, we weren’t sure how long our time would be together - she was already an elderly, dignified lady. But I’m glad we were able to give her a few years of being spoiled and treated like the queen she was.

Haven’t I been through enough.

A tortoiseshell cat curled up, with her big butt obscuring much of her face, although her eyes are visible above the curved backside.

She has drained all of my finances, stolen countless hours of sleep from me, given me multiple panic attacks - and I wouldn’t trade that time spent together for anything.

She’s been quite weak the past few days but has managed to jump up onto our bed to sit in the sunlight.

Just gonna spend the next few hours sat with her, I guess. I’m gonna miss her so much.

Not long now. But Violet’s managed to perk up enough to eat a shit ton of roast chicken and some chicken bone broth (the whole damn house smells like chicken now, thanks Violet 😮‍💨), and a bunch of her favourite chicken tube treats. She’ll be going out completely filled with chicken, which feels right

Trans people are at risk because the UK have banned trans youth healthcare, and adult HRT pathways are unfit for purpose. If you want to stop DIY HRT or 'black market trans hormones' then lift the fucking ban and make all types of HRT free and accessible through NHS GPs. It's not rocket science.
