Root has better stability at the expense of a barebones featureset.
Stoat has more features, and is fairly usable, but it's still in the middle of a messy transition from when it was Revolt and can be kinda buggy (see image).
Stoat gets my vote for being open source. Brighter future.

It was certainly more than I expected, but right now we can only see the surface level. Trailers can't show how deep these new features actually are, how well they work in practice, what lies behind the curtains. I've played these games too much to just take them at face value.
Reminder that these carefully curated trailers are the best this game will ever look. Read between the lines, see how the game plays out on release and past the honeymoon period.
Only then will we be able to see this game for what it truly is, for good and bad.

Around 2 years ago, I *tried* to play through Acclaim Juiced, but I couldn't tame its handling model. Turns out back then I had a half-finished Xbox gamepad layout mod for the PS2 prototype, so now I came back and finished it! With proper throttle control, it'll be nicer.
