I made an infrared camera with a Raspberry Pi. I made slight adjustments to the RAW file to restore some detail in the clouds.
In other words, alt text and the alt attribute predate the slog of A.I. technology. Alt text predates every single social media platform. Alt text has been a standard and best practice for quite a while. Insinuating alt text is just a tool for A.I. scraping is ignorant of history and accessibility.
