Thanks, mate!
It was a result of my iconic 4AM shower ideas, lol

Yee, they were supposed to have a screen where they'd write "MM-R/L ... Online."
And then their codename would be quickly spelled underneath.
All that in their respective colours too... But it doesn't play. :[
Heheh, thanks! It started kinda aimless and then I got lost in the sauce.
See you in 2037 when I turn these two goobers into my evil robot sidekicks.
Mean Machine - Red My old laptop from 9 years ago that I thought was done for.
Mean Machine - Lavender My recent laptop. Around 4 years old.
Little Miss Marshmallow's lights used to be purple but I haven't figured out how to change them in Linux, since the button for it doesn't work...
I present to you... New MM-R and New MM-L!
I swear, they look better in person. You have to trust me, pal. 🤌
Oh, it's just a tech demo I've been working on for fun, in Godot. It has no name, really.
I try to keep her well fed!
She's stuck in the void until I launch Godot again, lol
I recommend Linux Mint, for starters. And unless you're stubborn like me, it should take only an afternoon to have it ready to go!
Windows apps can work nicely, with some help, but this can be an opportunity to try different ones too.
Anywho, I kinda miss working on this game but I gotta stay strong. Not before Kirby Guardian episode 16 is finished.
I wanted to post a picture of Faximili that'd fit the mood but I'm on Roxanne right now and I don't have any pictures. So, have this screen grab it took after realizing that everything has an equivalent on Linux.
Final part of the Linux arc:
I wanted to try Mint a while to see how it was and I guess I'm using that now. I've got eveything working, except for 2 apps that were missing just one thing!
Flash: Same issue as before.
Clip Studio Paint: Krita is RIGHT THERE.
Everything else? Pretty all right.
Episode 16 is going strong. The great thing about testing Linux on a second laptop is that I can both work on the episode and do Linux stuff on the side, at the same time.
Oh, despite the occasionnal hiccups, the Linux arc has been very enjoayable, don't worry!
I love tinkering with stuff and I'm still bubbly about the fact that I'm doing all of this on an old laptop I was sure was on its deathbed, lol
8Gb of RAM, that is!
You were the driving force behind this decision of mine, to be honest. You told me you were using Arch, so I wanted to test it and I dig it, so far!
I'm still juggling with a 16Gb USB key and a 8Gb laptop but I'll be getting an SSD soon enough, for more tests, before I put it on my main laptop.
I'm sorry you had to see that, Sage. I had a moment of weakness but I'm good now, sorta!
You're a gem, I just wanna make sure you're aware of that, June. 💜
For Sammi, I will definitely downgrade, then. I don't agree with this Chrizz fellow's views... I just cannot get it to connect to Twitch chat, somehow... I'll test your recommendation, for sure.
Yup! I've been considering it for a while and made the jump about 2 weeks ago! I also saw you had made the jump before! I'm using Arch (btw) but I also have Mint on my USB key, to try it out.
All of that is on my test, 8Gb laptop. The current one is still cursed by Windows.
I ALMOST cried.
I considered it but I still didn't! =v=
I know: "Wow, Kimi. Big deal. Waaa waaa!" I will stab on sight.
NOT in Minecraft. That's right! I'm grimd4rk and edgy like that, kestuvafèr??
... I mean... The Faximili Twitch overlay wasn't THAT fun, in retrospect, right? We all know the drunken pie STOLE the show, no?
me when one of the best things in existence has been taken over par la con d'ta race.
Linux arc:
-Flash works but demands QuickTime specifically for what I do?
Dude, It's been awesome working with you for 15 years. Aight, keep it real, champ.
-Mosh-Pro doesn't show fonts?
It's all right, I got my money's worth. Blender's compositor is right there.
-SAMMI's dev is all about GenAI...
She's got the spirit!
Big Green Sleepy
Plush Red Thingy
I'll find a solution, that's for sure. SAMMI is pretty much the last roadblock!
Ok, quick update before I go back to the grave.
I got most of my softwares working except for Vital and VSDC that I haven't tried and FormatFactory that I'm sure Linux has a great alt for.
Now, the ones I dreaded: SAMMI and Mosh-Pro...
Mosh is missing fonts and SAMMI can't connect to Twitch chat.
So, good news: I got Clip Studio Paint to work!
Slightly annoying news: It was a bit tedious to get to work and I can't pin it to the taskbar, I can only access it by going to Clip Studio's main page first but I'll look into that later.
Thank you, Arrol!
I'll keep everyone updated as I go. ^-^
It should, or at least I'll find a solution!
After all my files are transfered successfully, I'll be installing everything I haven't already and test them all.
