'Overwatch' director Jeff Kaplan left Blizzard after they told him him 1,000 staff would be fired if the game didn't make a specific amount of money
"It was the biggest 'fuck you' moment I've had ... I believed I would never work anywhere besides Blizzard ... and I was like 'we're done here'"
Mostly just weird, imo, if anything is damaging its the lack of black characters in the comics to begin with.

We tend to think of Wein as a writer and creator (and he was very good at both), but his real legacy is as an editor.

Time heals everything and creators pick and choose what they want to use, there’s no such thing as a character that’s “ruined”

Just finished Do a Powerbomb! by Daniel Warren Johnson.
I almost skipped it because a wrestling comic didn’t sound like my thing — huge mistake. The art is explosive and the story has so much heart.

Uncle From Another World from Netflix also great. its a reverse isekai comedy, the titular Uncle awakens from a coma with magic & stories from his 17 year adventure. Some fan service, but way more references to 90s Sege Genesis, which is Yosuke's (uncle) preference. eng VO and dub r spectacular IMO
Hajime No Ippo - its great, kinda long w/ over 100 eps. Its a sports anime (boxing) and has no real "fan service" that i recall, though there is a recurring joke about the main characters *cough* manhood 🐘 later in the series

Mal Duncan, he needs his whole publication history redone. He was an early black character in #DC before #BlackLightning
Eliminate the #HornBlower malarkey
Make him #Guardian a #TeenTitan from day one
