Well, thanks to @dammitjeff.com I've been just about successfully nerdsniped into giving ZimaOS a shot on my server. Been rolling Mint XFCE on it but ZimaOS looks so much more purpose-built and more what I'm looking for.

Good questions. It would really just mirror what I have setup in my house currently.
We have gigabit down, a NAS, couple 2.5g switches in each room, I wouldn’t say sensitive data as it’s mostly YouTube storage haha. Occasionally I use reverse proxies and Tailscale but that’s really it
