Last but not least, hate to ask, but are there any release blockers or an ETA for facet-error? It looks great and I’d like to adopt it, but I don’t want to switch to git deps.

Speaking of going upstream: what about man page + shell completion generation for facet-args, is that something you’d be interested in? If I port something from serde to facet, I’d like to also replace clap, but I really like man pages and shell completions.

@fasterthanli.me I’ve spent yesterday experimenting with facet and it’s amazing. I’ve built man page generation similar to what clap has for CLIs, but instead for config files loaded with facet. No proc macros on my end necessary. It is too specialized to go upstream, but it’ll go on crates.io soon.

I have two @frame.work Laptops. I used to exclusively recommend them. With the current Omarchy/Hyprland/DHH situation, I can no longer do so. Thanks @frame.work, for ruining this for me. I hope you'll do better in the future, and earn back the goodwill that you lost with this.

Well, “user data”.. Everything there is public, not sure how it’s relevant? People will use that public data maliciously, someone vibe coding an app view sounds quite harmless in that regard. If this was sensitive data that wasn’t public, I’d see the problem, but like this, why care?

Probably depends on where exactly you draw the lines. Are connection poolers like pgbouncer in there as well or are those different enough?

I'll need to eventually migrate my signal account over from my Android phone to my iPhone. Just logging in on the iPhone means loosing the chat history, but the blog post makes it sound like migrating the chat history using the backup feature could be right around the corner? Do I want to wait? 🫠
