Mold finished, poured and pulled first mask this weekend. Mold def had some issues so the mask needs some trimming and cleanup, but overall it came out great! Will be attaching the horns and incisors as well. First mask I’ve created. Here’s to many more!

Wrapped up the sculpt of my mask over the weekend. I'm letting it dry a bit more and then I'll be molding her up this coming Saturday! I'm looking forward to the first pull!

Working on my first mask. First time working this large and first time working with WED clay. Love the ease of movement with the clay! Not sure I’ll have it finished before Halloween but I’m going to try.

A series of maquette’s and maquette pieces in a desktop spray booth. In the foreground are some paintbrushes and bottles of paint. Some of the maquette’s are partially painted: some with dark blacks and flesh tones, others in bone color and black washes. Some are primed in dark gray primer. The maquette’s range from a laughing clown reminiscent of Joker, a skull, a biomechanical, and a zombie.

For real. Not saying they aren’t but I haven’t heard Jack shit from musicians. They have a huge microphone and I’d have thought there’d be some pushback. I don’t think the 90s needed RATM as much as we need that kind of unifying power now.

Mold, cast, clean, patch, add some magnets, and ready for paint. Test pulls ready for some paint experimentation.

I had hoped to finish him this weekend, but I came pretty close. He’s just about done. I think 😊
