Later today, we're taking a very coffee-specific stand against the growing Fascism in the USA.
Stay tuned.
I will add that no one that I know of in the coffee and espresso influence sphere has done anything like this. I am ashamed of myself for not doing so with my platform. But that's going to change, soon.
We all need to speak up.
So @lukemiani.bsky.social, a popular Mac and Apple evangelist and influencer on Youtube, had the absolute balls to take a public stance against the growing facism in the USA right now on his channel.
I sincerely applaud him, and hope I can find the same courage, soon.
A must watch.

Kruve Propel next to the Kinto espresso cup.
Kinto cups in the espresso and tea (cappuccino) sizes.
The Kruve Propel is the well deserved defacto standard when it comes to espresso cups for tasting and evaluation. But they are big, and fragile.
Kinto of Japan has hit the market with several double walled glass cups that could bring the fight to Kruve. We're evaluating them for CoffeeGeek soon.
Flair Wizard
Another beastie on the review bench for a Snapshot Review on CoffeeGeek: the Flair Wizard, the nifty milk steaming solution they have for their lever machines, that works on all sorts of heat sources, including some quirky Asian-sourced butane burners we bought for the task. Full Review coming soon!

I am absolutely gutted by the news of Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle.
I'm Gen-X, and Reiner was the creator of the absolute finest films of my lifehood. I still think Princess Bride is the most perfect movie ever made.
This is so sad. RIP Rob and Michelle. You will be missed, dearly.
Yo Canadians who love coffee and espresso.
Almost every "Black Friday" sales post you find are based on US sales. Well, we got you covered, and bonus: most of these sale prices are CHEAPER than the USA Black Friday prices. Fellow! Breville! Delonghi! Timemore! More!

We have a lot of content on that machine. Here's my fave article on it.

It is BACK. IMO, the best deal ever on an espresso machine: the Breville Infuser, sold only on Amazon in the USA, is back at that magical $399 price point for the early Black Friday sale.
Amazon dropped a bunch of Black Friday deals early, including 30% off Technivorms, lowest prices of the year on 1Zpresso grinders, Timemore, and the lowest price ever on the Baratza Encore Grinder.

How can a machine be this beautiful and this frustrating? A hands-on overview of the Olympia Mina and the "known issue" that stopped us from doing a full, formal review.

A lot of people say it looks like an AT-AT from Star Wars :)

This remains one of my favourite photos taken in 2025, at least where coffee gear is concerned. I spent a lot of time staging this too. It was "inspired" by a previous manual grinder photo I took for another review (Knock Aergrind, second pic).

Our First Look at the Breville Barista Touch Impress is live. It promises automated perfection with barista-assist tamping and milk frothing for plant-based milks. Does it deliver for the non-hobbyist? We've got thoughts. #coffeefeed #espressofeed

Yeah, I knew I had one of these buried deep in one of the coffee gear boxes in the basement. I bought this on eBay, probably 20 years ago now. Still has original spoons, cups and manual. Brews horrible espresso. @jameshoffmann.bsky.social would know.

No, I haven't received one yet. Will be looking to discuss that with Breville next month. Issues with the tariffs / US / Canada shipping.
