Introducing FAIR for #WordPress! I've detailed the journey from concern to action, explaining how this new decentralized distribution layer (definitely not a fork!) aims to enhance security, compliance, and the plugin economy.

The week is finally here and I cannot wait for this event!

Big thanks to everyone for the kind words and support on my move into the role of Community Manager at WP Engine. It means a lot. Even folks in competing spaces have reached out, and that speaks volumes about the kind of community we have. Appreciate you all! 🫶
This makes me exceptionally happy. Congrats all involved! 👏

I think so as well. 😁
I’ve been working with WordPress since 2006, and while I have—and will continue to—advocate for the software, it’s the people who matter most. This community is its heartbeat, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to stand with those passionate about shaping its future. 🙏
A timeless visionary, Walt Disney, once said:
“You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality.” 🪄
I’m excited to share that I’ve moved into a new role: Head of Community at WP Engine (@wpengine.bsky.social). I’ll work alongside our customers, agency partners, and the greater WordPress community—leading strategic initiatives, supporting industry events, and pursuing sponsorship opportunities. 🔽
Updated my bio today. Official announcement coming tomorrow. 👀
We are deeply saddened by the devastation in and around LA. Our partners The Webby Awards curated an incredible list to help the communities affected in LA. 🧵⬇️
Proud of all the work we did for the WordPress community and our customers. ✌️
Heyo #WordPress friends, we’re here 👉 @wpengine.bsky.social
As a fellow creator, I call upon the WordPress theme design community: Let’s rise to the challenge and do better together. Let’s make accessibility the fundamental standard, not the exception.

Now more than ever it's important for organizations that want to see WordPress continue to succeed to step up. I continue to be in search of more sponsors for the work I do on WordPress core. github.com/sponsors/aar...
It's clear the #WordPress world needs a change. So I wrote a post about exactly that:

I don’t know what pleased me more: the documentary, or the fact that Zach was the one who recommended I watch it. God bless his old soul. ✌️
Seems to be.
*waves from Surprise* ☀️🌴
In this case, it was all Chat GPT. Otherwise, most of my #WordPress projects/themes are all coded by me.
Worth noting that beyond my OP, I was able to successfully add a Canonical URL field, NoIndex/NoFollow support, exclusion from Sitemap based on those settings, and most/all of the OG stuff. Again, just me nerding out more than anything.
To be fair, none of this is meant to be a "product" or deployed in a way that would compete with any premium SEO plugins. I had a few hours of downtime and it was more a practice in "can this even be done with AI".
Looking good!
