On a side note though, the award show was really well put together. It was awesome to get to see SethBling and (a very AFK) Xisumavoid :D
If I had a nickel for every time I had a cameo on the official Minecraft YouTube account
D looks good
Game pass definitely has kept xobx relevant, it's been doing very poorly over the last few years.
The ability to try out games and not have to comit is nice, though I really feel as though the push for a "rent everything own nothing" world is too foreboding to look past that
I'm curious; what benefits do you see in game pass? I've considered myself to be against the idea so I'm interested to hear.
You made a good point with satisfactory. I think it honestly will have a similar story to that game where the start will be rough but clearly show some volume, it just needs a few years to cook.
β¦ is a shame. All in all the game does have tons of potential, but obvious because itβs early access thereβs a lot of improvement and QoL that is totally just missing, which hurts the game feel.
The world feels a lot more structured and preset than MC does. (Maybe itβs a similar feel to satisfactory?). I think the expansive weaponry is innovative compared to MC and the combat does feel better in some ways. I will admit that *so far* though thereβs not much variety in attack patterns whichβ¦
I went ahead and tried it yesterday
Honestly, the game certainly has potential. I can tell I wonβt ever like it as much as Minecraft, but I think it can fill the niche it wants to. So far it feels a lot more similar to games like rust than it does a βtrueβ sandbox like MC.
Happy New Year π
It looks pretty cool in the nether too (blue and red color maps respectively)
If you can't make out the difference, here's the color maps visualized:
Huge fan of the new environment attributes lately, especially the new ones in the first 26.1 snapshot!
Being able to customize ambient/block light colors separately is super powerful, and really nice for making each area feel more unique. π
Should I make a full pack with all biomes?
Can't believe it's already been a year since I lost my buddy

Glad to see this change come after so long, it's certainly been highly requested over the years (although admittedly its been a bit ignorantly requested as if it's a silver bullet fix for performance issues... we'll see what happens lol).
thanks for shiny i was just thinking about shiny
Super cool, that would be really handy for building.
Have you considered giving it some way to decay? I can see it being tedious to have to swap to a pick(tool) to break, but it may be a fair drawback.
Similar to what you said in your follow up, this unfortunately isn't a privilege that everyone has. Generally, most of what I have heard and experienced in the past is pretty frustrating experiences with MS support.
Granted, it has gotten somewhat better, but certainly not ideal.
The struggle is real

Huge thanks to everyone who contributes to the Minecraft bug tracker! <3

You've got to give them more credit, while there are a few complications that have come out of migrating, they're working very hard to get everything situated and function as best as they can get it.
Fourty??? Ouch π₯²
