These are precarious times for nonfiction publishers. Getting the word out is harder than ever now. I highly recommend that people sign up to receive newsletters and other information directly from the publishers who put out stuff you like. You’ll also hear about bonus discounts and other deals.

I really hope so. Unfortunately, the difficulty of getting any peer review reports these days is only going to lead more publishers to resort to AI, which will have a spiral effect that hurts all of us.
I find these stories so upsetting. This is editorial malpractice. Any editor worth their salt should have rejected this report before it ever went to the author.

Trump also says that Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin will be his next nominee for secretary of DHS, although Trump doesn't word it that way.
Finally, he says Noem will have a new federal role in a new initiative soon to be announced.

The public and commentators need to stop thinking about "wars for oil" as about securing oil for the U.S., it's been decades since that was a motivator. "Wars for oil" are instead about securing oil for oil companies, securing a fossil fueled global economy, and denying oil's wealth to "enemies."
