Two siblings ponder how to get people back to the theaters. Why not make good movies that a particular demographic will enjoy? If itβs good, shouldnβt everyone appreciate it. Joey Pants & Alan Tudyk help.

It might not be a very good film but "Skyscraper" is a very interesting film to talk about and who better to talk about this PM Entertainment film than the greatest PM Entertainment expert in podcasting (and host of The PM Entertainment Podcast) Jon Cross! open.spotify.com/episode/30vW...
It's absolutely for monetary reasons. It's just so frustrating because the quality of movies really suffer for it, there's so much padding and overblown drama.
What are your biggest movie pet peeves?
Iβll go first -
movies that have no reason being up to 2 and a half hours long
Mine is the same as yours. Unless a movie has a reason to be long (Titanic, LOTR, that kind of thing), do your thing in 90 min and then end. Like every superhero movie now is 2+ hours and it feels so self-indulgent
Do you think itβs because the streaming services are not caring too much about run times as more time watching their services means more adverts and engagements blah blah
When it was a cinema game it was about bums on seats and cramming showings into a day making tight run times crucial
Yes!!!
*As I reached for my phone and rushed to agree I sensed a whiff of irony in the air*

Hi, #Scriptsky. I'm Peter Briggs: I sold my first spec to Fox in '92. I'm credited co-writer on the 2004 movie "Hellboy"; past 30 years I've been hired-by or sold specs to all the major studios.
My side hustle: I provide consultancy to emerging screenwriters serious about their craft. Links above!

Thanks Trey, glad that it was the soundtrack to your commute. You got away with that one as i don't think we'd seen it recently π .
Buckaroo Banzai is a wild movie, only saw it a couple of years ago and it was a proper trip. Robocop has range

Nice work - cat People is a hell of a shout
Batman is an interesting one. Not for everyone but Partyman in the museum is a classic
Love the tune and it is cool, but is it cooler in the trailer over the movie ?
