Sunrise’ish over Venice this morning - this morning. Sunrise was 0634hrs & unlike yesterday when we were greeted with fog / sea fret it dawned a beautiful cool, pretty clear morning. Time for a few more hours in Venice before flying home later. It’s been brilliant 🤩 #Venice 🇮🇹 @skycalpro.com

Foto der Spiralgalaxie Messier 94 mit 12 Stunden Belichtungszeit, aufgenommen durch ein Teleskop C8. Zu erkennen ist das helle Zentrum, das von einem Ring aus hauptsächlich blauen Sternen umgeben ist. Weiter außen folgen die Spiralarme und weit außen ein großer, schwacher Ring aus Sternen.
The spiral galaxy M 94 in Canes Venatici is an easy object to observe due to its bright centre with an inner ring of young stars. This photo, which I took over 3 nights in January with an exposure time of 12 h, also shows the faint outer ring of stars. #astrophotography 🔭

Things got crazy busy for a bit with family and work, then my health took a bit of a hit. nothing too serious but enough to make me stop and put a couple of things on hold. I'm back out cycling again now to get fit again. I'll start work on the site again soon if people start to come back to it :)

Thanks Peter - life got super busy (work, family) and something had to give. My health started to suffer a bit too so I've switched some development time for cycling time. Things are settling down a bit - but I worry I've neglected the site for too long :(
