At Oversight Committee today, I voted YES on a motion to subpoena Attorney General Bondi that passed and will force her to answer our questions about the Department of Justiceβs mishandling of the Epstein case.
After promising the American people that the Epstein files were sitting on her desk more than one year ago, Attorney General Pam Bondi has done nothing but delay and obstruct our bipartisan oversight investigation into the heinous crimes committed by Jeffrey Epstein and his associates.
It was great to meet with 30 high school students from Oliver Ames High School this afternoon.
We had a great discussion on the steps of the Capitol to talk about current events, my role as their Federal Representative, and to answer their insightful questions.
Our future is bright!

We finally received a classified briefing on the situation in Iran from Secretary Rubio, Secretary Hegseth, Joint Chiefs Chairman Caine, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe - one that failed to articulate an actual justification for an undefined military operation that continues to place American service members at risk. With President Trump still refusing to rule out American boots on the ground, I will firmly vote yes on H. Con. Res. 38, which requires Congress to authorize any U.S. military force against Iran.
My deepest sympathy and respect to the families of the three brave U.S. service members killed in action during ongoing military operations against Iran. Β I also wish the dedicated service members who have been wounded in action a speedy and full recovery. The safety and security of our sons and daughters in uniform remains my highest priority and I will continue to demand that Congress exercise its constitutional authority to conduct oversight of military action and provide maximum protection for American service members deployed in the region.
We need to be thorough and ensure that anyone who may have had any information or access to Epsteinβs horrific crimes is brought in for questioning, including President Trump.
The survivors deserve justice.
We donβt have any choice; there needs to be major changes before we provide any funding to DHS.
President Trump violated federal law when he unilaterally imposed tariffs worldwide.
It is reassuring that six Supreme Court justices said NO and held this Administration accountable to the rule of law.
Great turnout at the Quincy Asian Resources Lunar New Year celebration - sincere thanks to Philip Chong, Lisa Hsu, Β Mayor Koch, and Senator John Keenan for a wonderful family-friendly event.
Best wishes for a safe and prosperous Year of the Horse!
Today, I joined my fellow Oversight Committee Democrats in Ohio for a deposition to question billionaire Les Wexner about his strong ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
It was Wexner who gave Epstein the financial capacity to commit many abuses while he was in a position to stop many of these crimes.
Today, I testified at the Massachusetts State House to voice my support and urge state legislators to reopen Norwood Hospital as a nonprofit healthcare facility by taking the property by eminent domain.

I will be voting NO on the upcoming funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security and ICE.
This is a break-the-glass moment; we cannot continue to enable this type of behavior by the Trump Administration.

This month, we acknowledge the long struggle and celebrate the hard-earned victories in the course of Black History in our nation.
As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.βs words frequently remind us, the work continues for all of us.
I have no confidence in the Trump Administration when it comes to the full release of the Epstein files.
As a member of @oversightdemocrats.bsky.social, I will continue to work with my colleagues to secure the full release of the documents to ensure the survivors receive the justice they deserve.
Based on obstruction of congressional oversight, failure to comply with immigration law, violations of constitutional due process requirements, and unlawful interference with emergency funding duly enacted by Congress, I strongly support the Impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Noem.
ICE agents just brutally executed the second U.S. citizen in recent days on the streets of Minneapolis - this man was simply filming masked and armed ICE agents who have been approaching people randomly on the streets of that city, asking that people produce papers and identification - clearly violating their civil rights. After todayβs shooting, the ICE agents simply walked away, leaving the victimβs body lying in the street. This Gestapo-like conduct looked like a firing squad - taking a human life for no reason. Every American should be ashamed to watch this happening. The victim was lying prone in the street when he was executed. What kind of nation have we become? ICE agents need to stand down and allow the situation to de-escalate, and Congress must guarantee that a full and independent investigation be allowed to proceed in order to hold these agents accountable under the law. This is exactly why I voted to block federal ICE funding earlier this week in Congress.
Epsteinβs victims have spent years fighting for justice. Pam Bondi is blocking that justice by refusing to release the 99% of Epstein files remaining.
ICE, under the direction of Kristi Noem, has completely gone off the rails and is violating the basic rights of American citizens.
I will be voting NO on any funding for the Department of Homeland Security.
Kicking off my statewide #EndHungerNow tour with @lynch.house.gov here in Quincy at Quincy Community Action Programs to listen to folks who rely on Head Start and federal food assistance to make ends meet.
As a member of the Committee on Oversight & Government Reform, I am continuing to work with my Democratic colleagues to investigate cases of misconduct and abuse during federal immigration enforcement operations. I have also agreed to cosponsor Articles of Impeachment for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem given her continued obstruction of congressional oversight, her criminal refusal to comply with immigration law and willful violation of constitutional due process requirements and unlawful interference with emergency funding enacted by Congress.
